A purification process of aromatic amine is provided to improve the separation of a compound containing a phenol-based hydroxyl group, while not causing the deposition of the solid and viscosity increase. A purification process of aromatic amine manufactured by the reduction of an aromatic nitro compound comprises (I) a step for separating reaction water formed during the reduction reaction, from a product compound obtained by reducing an aromatic nitro compound; (II) a step for mixing the product compound of the (I) step and aqueous solution(2) of the alkali metal hydroxide; (III) a step for supplying the mixture of the (II) step, to a distillation column (K) including at least, the top rectifier(VT^2), the bottom rectifier(VT^1), and a stripping part(AT); (IV) a step for removing at least a part of the bottom product under the stripping part(AT); (V) a step for evaporating a part of the bottom product removed from the (IV) step, in at least one downstream re-evaporator(E^2) operated at the temperature higher than that of the main evaporator(E^1), to the residue aromatic amine content of the re-evaporator effluent of 0-98 weight%; and (V) a step for recirculating the liquid obtained in the (V) step partly and sluicing out the liquid partly or wholly.
