PRETREATMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COATING USING ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE PLASMA

A system and a method for painting pre-treatment are provided to remove foreign materials from the surface of the treatment object and improve adhesive power between a paint and the surface of the treatment object by treating a surface of a treatment object such as a steel pipe with low temperature atmospheric pressure plasma with a preset intensity and introducing a polar functional group containing oxygen to a hydrophobic surface of the steel pipe, thereby increasing surface energy of the steel pipe. A system for painting pre-treatment comprises: a suction apparatus(4) removing water drops from the surface of a treatment object through suction ports(5) adhered to ends of one or more first supporting members(6); and a plasma generating apparatus(8) discharging plasma of a predetermined intensity to the surface of the treatment object for a predetermined time through discharge ports(9) adhered to ends of one or more second supporting members(11). The system for painting pre-treatment further comprises a control box(1), a camera(2), and a flood lamp(3).
