FIELD: metallurgy. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to powder metallurgy, particularly to ceramic metal alloy on iron base. It can be implemented for fabricating parts of machines, for instance, bushings, bearing caps, and shock-absorber pistons. Free machinable ceramic metal alloy on iron base contains 0.05-3 wt % of calcium or strontium carbonate with medium dimension of particles 0.1-30.
