The circuit has a fuel injector (1) connected to an outlet pipe (9) of a high pressure pump (10), and an outlet line (4) opened in an exhaust pipe (5) of an engine (6) of a vehicle, in upstream of a catalyst (7) associated with a particulate filter (8) . A solenoid valve (13) and another fuel injector are integrated in the outlet pipe of the pump, where the valve and the injector are placed between the pump and the injector (1) to interrupt flow of fuel into the outlet pipe besides regeneration phases of the particulate filter. An independent claim is also included for a strategy for testing function of components of a fuel injection circuit.
