<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for and a method of recovering leaked gas which, even if a suction part is disposed in the vicinity of a charge/discharge hole of a PS converter, can surely recover gas leaked e.g. at the charging of matte and cold charge without imposing a burden on maintenance. <P>SOLUTION: A suction part 11 which has a damper 12 having a water-cooled jacket structure 12c is disposed in a position on one side face of an exhaust gas hood 5 provided on the top side of a PS converter 1 and in the vicinity of a charge/discharge hole 3 of the PS converter 1. When the PS converter 1 is tilted and matte, cold charge, etc., are charged into the converter, the gas leaked via the charge-discharge hole 3 can hereby be sucked into the exhaust gas hood 5 and exhausted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
