PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaluation method capable of easily evaluating performance of a hard disk drive (HDD). SOLUTION: This evaluation method of the HDD is the method for evaluating an HDD 21 having a fulcrum bearing 1 for supporting a swing arm 22 swingably and provided with following processes, that is: a torque of the fulcrum bearing 1 is measured, and the performance of the HDD 21 is estimated based on the torque of the fulcrum bearing 1.
