PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To complete environment setting operations of an apparatus by the time of the start of an analysis and reliably start the analysis at the time of the start of the analysis. SOLUTION: An automatic analysis apparatus 1 previously performs a series of environment setting actions in which a plurality of unit setting actions are combines for setting its action environment. A reservation registration part 41 of a control part 4 receives the specification of the time of the start of the analysis to start the analysis; an action course of the environment setting actions to be executed prior to the start of the analysis, etc. via an input part 6 and computes the environment setting time of the environment setting actions on the basis of the unit action time of each unit setting action constituting the environment setting actions of a specified action course. The reservation registration part 41 determines and registers the time of the start of environment setting of the environment setting actions on the basis of the time of the start of the analysis and the environment setting time. An environment setting control part 43 monitors the present time of day and starts to control the environment setting actions of the specified action course when it is the time of the start of environment setting.
