PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of confirming a pressure-reducing state with an inexpensive structure and storing food for a long time in a low pressure compartment. SOLUTION: This refrigerator comprises storage compartments defined in a refrigerator main body, the low pressure compartment disposed in the storage compartment and having a pressure lower than atmospheric pressure, a pressure reducing means for reducing a pressure of the low pressure compartment, a low pressure compartment door openably and closably disposed on an opening of the low pressure compartment, a low pressure compartment door knob for openably and closably moving the low pressure compartment door, and a pressure releasing valve disposed on the low pressure compartment door knob and capable of releasing a low pressure state of the low pressure compartment in interlocking with opening motion of the low pressure compartment door.
