<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and surely achieve setting related with folding. <P>SOLUTION: Images 801 and 802 of sheets before folding and images 803 and 804 of sheets after folding are read by a scanner 112, and the read images are input to a host computer 106. The host computer 112 analyzes the way of folding of sheets from the input images 801 and 802 of sheets before folding and the input images 803 and 804 of sheets after folding. Then, the analytic result is automatically set in the device having the folding function.
