<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter in which display defects do not occur by a black matrix layer made of resin. <P>SOLUTION: Disclosed is a color filter comprising: a base material; a black matrix layer formed on the base material and at least containing a light shielding material and resin; and a colored layer formed at the opening part of the black matrix layer.
