The present invention relates to pharmaceutical compositions including impregnated polymeric materials, particularly anion-exchange polymers. Processes for producing such compositions and impregnated polymers are also disclosed herein. Examples of uses for the compositions disclosed herein include the treatment of renal diseases and ion imbalances.
