A distance adjusting device (17) for maintaining a preset distance between consecutive fastening units to be driven into a workpiece (10) is arranged in the housing. The adjusting device is formed such that the device directly provides an attaching position for a discharge channel (14) in a predetermined distance to the fastening unit directly collected in the workpiece.
