The inlet air channel comprises an acoustic channel section (1) with air-tight barrier areas (2) and with a porous damping barrier segment (3). The acoustic channel section is an extruded plastic tube. The porous damping barrier segment is in-extruded between the air-tight barrier areas. The porous damping barrier segment is formed of a plastic internal part, particularly from Polyethylene (PE), Polypropylene (PP) or Polyamide (PA). An independent claim is included for a method for producing an acoustic channel section of an inlet air channel, particularly for an internal-combustion engine of a motor vehicle.
