<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch actuating device having a configuration of stable action for an interlock switch without causing the upsizing of the device. <P>SOLUTION: The switch actuating device comprises a first lever member 201 provided for swinging, a second lever member 203 which is swingingly supported by the first lever member 201 with one of swinging ends facing the actuator of a switch, and a first action part 204 and a second action part 205 which selectively rotate the first lever member 201 and the second lever member 203 by being pushed by projections 24a and 25a when doors 24 and 25 are closed. The first and the second action parts 204 and 205 rotate along the moving direction of the projections 24a and 25a for reducing the number of moving strokes, forming counter contact parts contacting with the first and the second lever members 201 and 203 into cam shapes 204B and 205B.
