<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact container for microwave oven cooking having a mechanism for pressure regulation. <P>SOLUTION: A container body 1 has a body fitting part 9 in an upper part. A lid 2 has a lid lower fitting part 13 in a lower part and a pressure regulating mechanism 3 in an upper part. A peripheral wall part of the lid 2 is formed of a plastic part 19 that is thinner than that of the lid lower fitting part 13. The body fitting part 9 and the lid lower fitting part 13 are integrally fitted. When heating/cooking, pressure inside the container is released by the pressure regulating mechanism 3. When cooking, the thin plastic part 19 is raised by steam generated by heating by a microwave oven so as to secure sufficient space for steaming effect.
