PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program guide for easily visualizing the length of a broadcast time, and for displaying much more program information even in the case of a program whose broadcast time is short. SOLUTION: The device for generating the program guide includes: a display means for displaying an electronic program guide; an information acquisition means for acquiring information relating to each program to be displayed at the electronic program guide; a first determination means for determining the size of a first display region showing the broadcast time of each program in the electronic display guide based on the first information relating to the broadcast time of each program included in the information relating to the program; a second determination means for determining the size of a second display region for displaying second information relating to the content of each program included in the information relating to the program in the electronic program guide by associating it with the first display region; and a display control means for making the display means display the electronic program guide based on the scales of the first and second display regions.
