PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems wherein it is difficult to form a smooth reflective surface with a fine form and uniform thickness and an image obtained by reflected light, having disturbances on the reflective surface due to irregular reflection, has low contrast and becomes blurred. SOLUTION: Since an underlying film 9 is formed on part of the surface of a projecting part 3, exposed by removing part of a liquid-repellent layer 6, the smooth reflective surface 4 with a uniform thickness can be formed accurately on the underlying film 9 through electroless deposition. Thus, the projection light emitted onto a reflective screen 1 is reflected equally by the reflective surface 4. As a result, a light other than the projection light emitted to the reflective screen 1, ambient light, such as illumination around the reflective screen 1 will not be reflected by the reflective screen 1 but will be transmitted or absorbed. Accordingly, the image obtained from the light reflected by the reflective screen 1 has a high contrast and becomes clear. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
