PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a malfunction caused by the approach of insects to an electronic device equipped with a detection portion. SOLUTION: The electronic device 100 is characterized by having a detection portion 10 which is operated with a driving electric current supplied from an electric source 30 to detect sound waves or electromagnetic waves, and an electric source-controlling portion 20 disposed between the electronic source 30 and the detection portion 10. When the electric source-controlling portion 20 periodically changes the quantity of the driving electric current flowing between the electric source 30 and the detection portion 10, electromagnetic waves can be generated by the change of the driving electric current to control the approach of insects to the electronic device 100.
