A method for controlling functions of an apparatus that comprises a user interface with at least one control means for controlling multiple functions of the apparatus. The apparatus has a plurality of user-adjustable operating profiles, and that in said method at least one of the functions of said control means is defined operating profile-specifically. The invention also relates to a device as well as to a system and a computer program product.
