<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic key structure for a vehicle security and its function execution method which prevents insertion and rotation of an automobile key for except a legitimate user, disables a steering operation and an engine start, and can start the engine only by the legitimate user. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic key structure for the vehicle security and its function execution method determines whether or not at least one signal of a driver seat door lock signal or a brake pedal signal of the automobile is turned ON, requests an inherent ID to a key FOB for the automobile and receives it, when at least one signal is turned ON, and performs an authentication for the key FOB by utilizing the received ID. When the key FOB passes the authentication, a lock member is moved by driving an actuator to be switched to a state where the key for the automobile can be rotated. When the key FOB does not pass the authentication, the lock member is moved by driving the actuator to be switched to a state where the key for the automobile cannot be rotated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
