<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film which is excellent in heat resistance and optical transparency, while exhibiting excellent absorption of ultraviolet light including those in the wavelength range of 200-350 nm, and which is free from appearance defects, to provide a polarizing plate which uses such an optical film and has few appearance defects, and to provide a high-quality image display device using such a polarizing plate. <P>SOLUTION: The optical film is obtained by extrusion molding a molding material which contains a resin component mainly consisting of a (meth)acrylic resin and 0.35-3.0 pts.wt. of a cyanoacrylate ultraviolet absorbent per 100 pts.wt. of the resin component. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
