<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving mechanism of a carrier which can prevent the occurrence of a defect, a dent, and a transformation due to a heavy blow in a drive transmitting means in the case of moving reciprocatingly the carrier, even when a vibration and an impact from the outside are acted to an apparatus, and a recording device and a reading apparatus using this driving mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: As the drive transmitting means, pinions 108a, 108b mounted on the carrier rotarily drivably, racks 107a, 107b fixed to the apparatus side, and a connecting rack 107c fixed between the racks 107a and 107b are provided. In the moving range of the carrier, a first moving region that the pinion 108a is engaged with the rack 107a, a second moving region that the pinion 108b is engaged with the rack 107b, and a third moving region that the pinions 108a, 108b are engaged simultaneously with the rack 107c, are provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
