PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the degree of freedom in changing the shape, diameter, and light intensity distribution for the section of a laser beam. SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus, a laser controller 200 emission-controls a plurality of lasers arranged in a two-dimension on a surface-emitting laser 10 in an optional pattern based on image data of a pixel.
