PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder production method capable of producing a powder composed of apatite particles having a high strength and a large specific surface area. SOLUTION: The powder production method produces a powder composed of multiple apatite particles and comprises a step of preparing a slurry containing plural primary particles of apatite and plural aggregates formed by the aggregation of the primary particles, a step of supplying the slurry into a storage tank, a step of crushing at least a part of the plural aggregates by the action of extrusion pressure in the channel of the nozzle 4 by applying pressure to the slurry when the slurry is sent to the nozzle 4 from the storage tank into the nozzle 4 by using a high-pressure pump and simultaneously transferring the slurry through a flow channel to shed it as plural liquid drops from an orifice (an exhaust nozzle) 421, and a step of preparing a powder composed of apatite particles formed by granulating primary particles, each of crushed aggregates, and each of uncrushed aggregates.
