PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a BGM reproducing device in an elevator car capable of re-reproducing BGM which has been reproduced from the beginning, reproducing next piece of BGM skipping the BGM which is being reproduced if it is not preferable, and stopping BGM if a passenger does not wish to hear it by the passenger's operation. SOLUTION: A speaker 2 arranged inside an elevator car, a BGM reproducing device 1 storing a plurality of pieces of BGM and broadcasting a selected piece of BGM from the speaker inside the car, a door opening button 7 arranged on a car control panel 6 for opening a door when it is pushed while the car stops, a door closing button 8 arranged on the car control panel for closing the door when it is pushed while the car stops, and an elevator control device controlling the BGM reproducing device to stop the BGM being reproduced and re-reproduce from the beginning, or to skip the BGM being reproduced and reproduce the BGM of the next piece of music when either the door opening button or door closing button is pushed while the car is running, are comprised.
