An electronic component (1) for an integrated mechatronic system has at least two housing parts, comprising at least one housing cover (3) and an electrical connection in the form of a printed circuit board (4) between components (12) arranged in the housing interior and components lying outside the housing. The housing cover (3) is adhesively bonded directly on the electrical connection (4) and/or the housing base and a shaped seal is simultaneously provided, said seal being arranged, according to the invention, in a cutout in the printed circuit board. A permanent hermetically sealed protection of the sensitive electronic components (12) is made possible in this way.
