The milling machine has a milling housing (1) with a milling roller (12) fitted with milling blades (2) which are rotatable against a driving condition. A grid arrangement (8) is locked behind the milling housing, and a leveling roller is placed behind the grid arrangement. An adjustable mechanism (3) adjusts base distance of the milling housing and penetration depth of the milling blades. The adjustable mechanism is bridged by an alternatively operatable high-speed switch mechanism (17) that comprises an actuator (21).
