<p>The invention provides a multi-region non-compressed detergent tablet comprising at least one non-compressed region that is substantially free from polymer thickener and is substantially free from inorganic electrolyte detergency builder, and wherein said region comprises non-electrolyte detergency builder at a concentration of between 15 wt% and 70 wt% based on tablet weight. Additionally the invention also provides a method to produce detergent tablets according to the invention, and use of a detergent tablet according to the invention for cleaning fabrics in a washing machine.</p>
