<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a stolen vehicle, using intervehicular narrow band radio communication, by an emergency vehicle approaching the vehicle to be investigated. <P>SOLUTION: The stolen vehicle to be investigated has a memory for storing vehicle information of the vehicle, an encrypting device for encrypting the vehicle information, and a DSRC communication device for transmitting the encrypted vehicle information to the emergency vehicle, using the narrow band radio communication, when the emergency vehicle approaches. The emergency vehicle has a memory for storing the vehicle information of the target vehicle; a DSRC communication device used for communication to the target vehicle using the narrow band radio communication, in close proximity to the vehicle; a decoder for decoding the encrypted vehicle information received from the target vehicle via the DSRC communication device; a processing means for collating the decoded vehicle information with the vehicle information stored in the memory; and a display means for displaying information about the prescribed vehicle, based on the collation result by the processing means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
