<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an electronic component which is used for the control of a driving source to be loaded on a walking assisting apparatus without spoiling its compact property in the walking assisting apparatus which is equipped with a load transmitting section, a leg link being connected with the load transmitting section, and the driving source 9 which can drive the leg link in a direction to push up a sitting member, while supporting at least a part of a user's body weight by the leg link through the load transmitting section. <P>SOLUTION: At least a part of the leg link is constituted of a cylindrical link member 43. The electronic component 16 such as a motor driver which is used for the control of the driving source 9 is housed in the cylindrical link member 43. Also, a thermal conductive member 19 for making the cylindrical link member 43 absorb the heat of the electronic component 16 is installed.
