<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen dilution unit of a fuel cell which can dilute hydrogen into fully low concentration and does not have risk of blocking due to freezing. <P>SOLUTION: For the hydrogen dilution unit of a fuel cell 1 provided with a retention room 6 where anode offgas exhausted from the fuel cell is retained, a dilution chamber 7 where cathode offgas exhausted from the fuel cell is circulated, and a communication part 8 for communicating the retention room 6 with the dilution chamber 7, the cathode offgas is made emitted toward the communication part 8.
