PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit for vehicle suppressing heat generation of a feeder cable. SOLUTION: The drive unit for vehicle has a casing 100 storing oil 900 and a motor generator 220 housed in the casing 100 and generating a driving force for the vehicle while achieving a first state having a relatively low load and a second state having a relatively high load. The drive unit for vehicle further has a cable 3A2 being fitted outside the casing 100 and supplying the motor generator 220 with power, a terminal block 320 being fitted on the casing 100 and connecting one end part of the cable 3A2 and a catching tank 800 storing oil 900 and immersing the terminal block 320 in oil 900.
