PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutter for fine-cutting chips generated in working a metallic material with a machine tool such as a lathe. SOLUTION: A fixed tool 2 and a movable tool 3 are provided in a pair. A cutting edge 6 of the fixed tool 2 is shaped as an approximately concave V with an angle ofα, and a cutting edge 7 of the movable tool 3 is shaped as an approximately convex V with an angle ofβ, where the angleα<angleβ.
