Disclosed is a positive lithographic printing plate member wherein an image-forming layer whose alkali solubility is enhanced by exposure to near infrared laser light is formed on a hydrophilic supporting body. This positive lithographic printing plate member is characterized in that the image-forming layer contains (a) an infrared absorbent which absorbs light within the wavelength range of 750-900 nm, (b) an acrylic resin having a hydroxyphenyl group in a side chain, (c) an alkali-soluble resin having a phenolic hydroxy group (excluding the acrylic resin having a hydroxyphenyl group in a side chain), and (d) a fluorine compound having a structural unit represented by the general formula (1) below. This positive lithographic printing plate member has high sensitivity and excellent scratch resistance.
