Combustion improving plate (1) fitted in an air supply channel of combustion apparatus in use, comprising metal plate (2) and, superimposed on one major surface thereof, coating layer (3), the metal plate (2) having ground lead (4) connected thereto. Preferably, the coating layer (3) contains a powdery piezoelectric element as a main component thereof. Further, there is provided a combustion improving device comprising a laminate of multiple combustion improving plates mentioned above. Preferably, the combustion improving device has a sandwich structure having the laminate of multiple combustion improving plates interposed between aluminum mesh nets.
