PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for heating granules applicable to long-time continuous operation for sterilization and producing heated granules having less variation in product quality to have constant product quality. SOLUTION: The device for heating granules is provided with: a cylindrical outer pressure vessel having an input port and an output port for granules, a saturated steam blowing-in port, and a water or hot-water supply port; a cylindrical inner stirring vessel having a granule introduction port and a granule lead-out port communicating with the input port and the output port and a porous plate through which the saturated steam flows, and disposed inside the cylindrical outer pressure vessel; a stirring means transforming the granules introduced into the cylindrical inner stirring vessel to the lead-out port while stirring the granules; and a spray nozzle for adding the water or the warm water to the stirred granules in a spray state: wherein the water or the warm water is added to the granules introduced in the cylindrical inner stirring vessel in a spray state while stirring the granules and the granules are heated via the saturated steam introduced through the porous plate.
