Problems to be solved are to provide a diversity receiving device and a diversity receiving method which have no receiving error, can start up a diversity system, and can improve sensitivity. There is a tolerable disturbance wave level difference in the case of diversity receiving in comparison with single branch receiving to obtain the same receiving quality and an improvement effect of a diversity gain is recognized over the single branch receiving. In reliance on this disturbance wave tolerance, a disturbance wave dynamic range from a transmitting unit (105) of a second wireless system in a wireless terminal device is set to be small and obtains a transmitting control signal (S117) from a transmitting signal control unit (106), so that a diversity is started up before initiation of transmission and diversity control is carried out adaptively without deteriorating of receiving quality. This arrangement improves a system NF at the same time and, as a result, can also improve receiving quality in the cases of the single branch receiving and the diversity receiving.
