<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting apparatus capable of bright illumination, and of downsizing itself, having an excellent heat radiation characteristic, and high in reliability. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of insulating heat sinks 2 are arranged on a principal surface of a base part 1 in an array-like form. An LED chip 3 is arranged on each insulating heat sink. The plurality of insulating heat sinks 2 on the base part 1 and the plurality of LED chips 3 are sealed by a resin containing a phosphor, and a phosphor-containing resin mold part 4 is formed. A hemispherical resin mold 5 is formed on the phosphor-containing resin mold part 4. A cylindrical support 6 is mounted on the back surface side of the base part 1. A plurality of heat radiation fins 7 are arranged on the outer peripheral surface of the support 6. The plurality of heat radiation fins 7 are radially extended outward from the outer peripheral surface of the support 6 by centering its center axis.
