<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side airbag device of a vehicular seat capable of mounting even a large airbag unit to a side frame of a seat back and securely developing an airbag forward in the development. <P>SOLUTION: Inside a side part of the seat back 1 on a door side, the airbag unit 4 including the airbag 40 folded in a longitudinally long manner is provided along the side frame 2 of the seat back 1. Upon side collision of the vehicle, the airbag 40 is expanded/developed forward outside the seat to protect an occupant. In such a side airbag device 3 of a vehicular seat, between the airbag unit 4 and the side frame 2, a guide plate 5, which is a longitudinal plate having the same vertical length as that of the airbag unit, for guiding the expanding/developing direction to the front in operation of the airbag 40 is installed so as to lay its plate surface along the longitudinal direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
