<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron-containing mixed powder for powder metallurgy, capable of yielding a sintered iron powder compact showing a good machinability without decreasing its strength, even when machining under a typical machining condition of around V100-200 m/min, and the sintered iron powder compact. <P>SOLUTION: The iron-containing mixed powder for powder metallurgy is obtained by mixing an iron-containing powder with a graphite powder, a Cu powder and a multiple oxide, wherein the multiple oxide shows a viscosity of≤10<SP>5</SP>(poise) at 800°C and is contained in an amount of 0.05-1.5 mass% based on the total mass of the mixed powder. The sintered iron powder compact is obtained from the iron-containing mixed powder for powder metallurgy by sintering a green compact of the iron-containing mixed powder for powder metallurgy. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
