The LED lamp has an LED module with a mount, and has a lamp cap which is connected to the mount, wherein the mount is fitted with at least one LED and at least one circuit component, which is connected between the lamp cap and the at least one LED, for operation of the LED, and having a lamp body with a recess for holding at least that part of the mount to which the at least one LED is fitted, wherein the lamp body has a surface structure in order to cool the LED lamp by thermal convection.
