<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, as a PON burst receiving circuit uses a certain offset to the threshold value for identifying '0' or '1' to guard against noise occurring within a ranging window (non-signal domain), the threshold value increases, thereby resulting in steep PON burst reception characteristics and an insufficient FEC effect. <P>SOLUTION: Using a first offset in a ranging window field and a second offset lower than the first offset value in other burst data fields can moderate the inclination of the PON burst reception characteristics and improve the FEC effect. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
