<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a down-sized electric connector which can be connected easily and surely with a fluorescent tube terminal. <P>SOLUTION: A first contact 15 of an electric connector has a pair of elastic piece parts 30. After an outer lead 13 of the end part 7a of a cold-cathode tube 7 is inserted between the pair of elastic piece parts 30 along a mounting direction Y1 corresponding to its diameter direction, the outer lead 13 is pinched between the pair of elastic parts 30.
