PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alternator for reducing iron loss compared with a conventional one. SOLUTION: An alternator for vehicle is provided with a stator iron core made of a laminate steel plate and having teeth and a slot, and a stator having a stator winding disposed on the slot. A portion equivalent to the teeth of a steel plate having 0.05-0.30 mm thickness and a portion equivalent to the slot thereof are formed by etching.
