PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compare the value of an analog signal with a predetermined value, in a short time using a relatively simple circuit. SOLUTION: An analog signal comparator has a waveform generator circuit 51A for generating a reference signal which exceeds a threshold, after the lapse of a predetermined period; an integrator circuit 52 for receiving an analog signal, integrating the analog signal, and outputting an analog integration signal; and a comparator circuit for receiving the reference signal from the waveform generator circuit 51A and the analog integration signal from the integrator circuit 52 and comparing the time until the reference signal from the waveform generator circuit 51A reaches a predetermined value, to the period of time until the analog integration signal from the integrator circuit 52 reaches the predetermined value.
