PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for welded joint excellent in fatigue characteristics and its manufacturing apparatus. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for welded joint is characterized in that: immediately after welding weld bead exposed on the outermost surface in a welding part by automatic or semi-automatic welding, air is sprayed in the direction opposite to the welding progress direction to cool the weld bead to the temperature in which the proof stress of steel becomes 2/3 or more of the ordinary proof stress; solidified weld slag is crashed and the crashed slag is removed by the air stream; thereafter the peening treatment is employed, in the weld bead toe part, for a groove having the depth of≥0.1 mm,≤1/10 of the plate thickness, the width of≥5 times the depth and≥1.5 mm.
