A packaging material which comprises a layered product composed of: an outer layer which is a laminated film obtained by laminating a cellophane film to an easy-to-cut plastic film; and an inner layer which is a hot-melt coating. Production control and storage control are easy. When a food, e.g., block cheese, is packaged with this packaging material and the contents are cut, then the packaging material can be satisfactorily cut in any direction.
