HARDENING COMPOSITION

A hardening composition that can give a hardened matter of high shear strength excelling in adherence (elongation and peeling strength), exhibiting a high hardening rate. The hardening composition comprises the following hardening material (a1), the following hardening material (a2) and a hardening catalyst (b). The hardening material (a1): at least one polymer (a11) obtained by modifying a polyoxyalkylene polyol with 4 or more hydroxyls so as to effect conversion of hydroxyl to a group (X1) having a group represented by the following formula (Y1). The hardening material (a2): at least one, e.g., polymer (a21) obtained by modifying a polyoxyalkylene diol so as to effect conversion of hydroxyl to a group (X) having a group represented by the following formula (Y), wherein the ratio of group (X1) among groups (X) present in the hardening material (a2) is 50 mol% or more. -Si(OR)3 (Y), and -Si(OCH3)3 (Y1), wherein R is a C1-C6 organic group.
