<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording and reproducing device for efficiently learning optimal recording power, a light-emitting pattern (recording pulse waveform), tracking offset, focus offset, tilting, etc. <P>SOLUTION: The device has a means which inputs a condition for recording or reproduction of information on a recording and reproducing medium 2 and a means which learns adjustment of the value of a predetermined learning item related to recording or reproduction on the basis of a predetermined evaluation index. Before learning, a learning condition when learning the predetermined learning item on the basis of the predetermined evaluation index is switched according to the inputted condition. When the information cannot be recorded or reproduced with a recording or reproducing quality based on a learning result of the learning means with respect to the inputted condition, relearning is performed according to the inputted condition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
