<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium cell having capacity increased by securely lowering the electric resistance of a positive electrode layer. <P>SOLUTION: The lithium cell has a positive electrode layer and a negative electrode layer occluding/releasing lithium, and an electrolyte layer that is laid between the positive and negative electrode layers and serves as a lithium-ion conductive channel. In the lithium cell, the positive electrode active material contained in the positive electrode layer is MnO<SB>2-δ</SB>. Here, δdenotes a value indicating the amount of oxygen deficiency. By using manganese dioxide with oxygen deficiency (MnO<SB>2-δ</SB>) as the positive electrode active material, the conductivity of the positive electrode active material can be improved, and as a result, the electric resistance of the positive electrode layer can be lowered. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
